Making a Difference with Mangroves
The destruction of mangrove ecosystems in East Africa has contributed to the loss of critical habitats for many organisms, threatening livelihoods and access to nutrition for impoverished coastal communities.
With your support, we are restoring the mangrove forests. This project helps to provide stable employment and restore fishing grounds, to break the poverty cycle. Mangroves are also sequestration powerhouses; ours are expected to sequester 12,400t of CO2 throughout their lifetime.
